Town Tales Pro is an independent community storytelling platform that publishes curated eyewitness accounts submitted by Singapore residents. We are not a registered news organisation, not a discussion forum, and not affiliated with STOMP, SPH Media, Mediacorp, or any government agency. Our content is editorially reviewed but represents contributor perspectives and observations, not verified news reporting.

We make no guarantee that published content is complete, accurate, or current. Stories reflect the accounts of individual contributors at the time of submission and may not include subsequent developments or official responses unless we update the article.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years of age to submit content to Town Tales Pro or enter into any agreement with us. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you are submitting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. Acceptable use

When using our website, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated accounts of incidents you did not witness or have direct knowledge of.
• Submit content intended to harass, threaten, defame, or dox private individuals.
• Upload media (photographs, video, audio) that you do not have the right to share, including content that violates copyright or privacy rights of third parties.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, data directories, or editorial systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content from our website without prior written consent.
• Impersonate Town Tales Pro staff, contributors, or other users.
• Submit content that violates Singapore law, including the Penal Code, the Protection from Harassment Act, the Defamation Act, and the Sedition Act.
• Use our contact form to transmit spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or malware.

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or refuse to publish any submission that violates these rules or our editorial standards, without prior notice and without obligation to provide a reason.

4. Story submissions

When you submit a community story to Town Tales Pro, the following terms apply:

• Accuracy: You represent that your submission is truthful to the best of your knowledge and that you were present at the incident described or have direct knowledge of the events.
• Rights: You grant Town Tales Pro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to edit, publish, reproduce, and display your submission (including any attached media) on our website and in related promotional materials. You retain ownership of your original submission but acknowledge that our edited version is a derivative work owned by Town Tales Pro.
• No payment: Town Tales Pro does not pay contributors for published stories. Submission is voluntary. We do not offer compensation, prizes, or financial incentives for content.
• Anonymity: You may request anonymity or use a pseudonym. We will honour reasonable anonymity requests but cannot guarantee anonymity if the content itself makes identification possible or if disclosure is required by law.
• Review: Submission does not guarantee publication. Our editorial team reviews all submissions and may contact you for verification. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, and style without altering factual content.

5. Intellectual property

All content on towntalespro.life — including text, headlines, layout, design, logos, and compiled story collections — is owned by Town Tales Pro Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reading and sharing of individual story URLs.

The Town Tales Pro name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Town Tales Pro Pte. Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without written consent. We are not affiliated with any third-party brand, news outlet, or government body mentioned in our stories, and reference to such entities does not imply endorsement or association.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Our website and all published content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that published stories are accurate, complete, or reflect all perspectives on an incident. Readers should treat community stories as contributor accounts, not as verified news reports.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Town Tales Pro Pte. Ltd., its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or reliance on published content, including but not limited to loss of reputation, emotional distress, or financial loss.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed SGD 100. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Corrections and takedowns

If you believe content violates your privacy or legal rights, submit a takedown request with sufficient detail for us to assess the claim. We will respond within five business days and may remove or amend content at our discretion.

10. Third-party links and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or embed third-party services such as Google Maps. These links and embeds are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site or service. Your use of Google Maps on our contact page is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
